Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status, monitor vital signs, and document changes clearly
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Coordinate patient care transitions and communicate effectively with families and providers
- Provide patient education to promote recovery, self-care, and wellbeing
- Respond to changes in patient conditions and escalate concerns promptly
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and best practice initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS or specialty certifications are a plus
- Minimum of 1 year acute care nursing experience preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply
- Strong clinical judgment, compassion, and a patient-first attitude
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems (experience with Epic is a plus)
- Medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced hospital environment
