Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient health status, monitor vital signs, and document changes clearly
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Coordinate patient care transitions and communicate effectively with families and providers
• Provide patient education to promote recovery, self-care, and wellbeing
• Respond to changes in patient conditions and escalate concerns promptly
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and best practice initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS or specialty certifications are a plus
• Minimum of 1 year acute care nursing experience preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply
• Strong clinical judgment, compassion, and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems (experience with Epic is a plus)
• Medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced hospital environment
