Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a busy medical-surgical unit
• Assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and families to coordinate care
• Educate patients and caregivers about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Document patient status and nursing actions clearly and promptly
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for North Carolina (compact license accepted if applicable)
• BLS certification required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred
• At least 1 year of recent acute care or med-surg nursing experience preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and hospital credentialing
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• IV medication administration and infusion pump familiarity
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Basic familiarity with common med-surg diagnoses and treatments
