Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide thorough speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans that target functional goals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
- Document all patient interactions, progress, and discharge planning accurately in the EMR
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to support carryover and education
- Maintain timely and compliant documentation to meet facility and regulatory standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- State of Pennsylvania SLP license required or ability to obtain prior to start
- ASHA CCC-SLP highly preferred
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Experience with adult/acute care caseloads preferred; new grads with clinical rotation experience encouraged to apply
- Excellent clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in dysphagia assessment and management
- Experience with standardized and functional speech-language assessments
- Proficient documentation skills and comfort using common EMR systems
- Ability to triage and prioritize a varied caseload
- Knowledge of best practices in evidence-based SLP interventions
- Comfortable collaborating with PT, OT, nursing, and medical teams
