Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that target functional goals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
• Document all patient interactions, progress, and discharge planning accurately in the EMR
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to support carryover and education
• Maintain timely and compliant documentation to meet facility and regulatory standards
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• State of Pennsylvania SLP license required or ability to obtain prior to start
• ASHA CCC-SLP highly preferred
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Experience with adult/acute care caseloads preferred; new grads with clinical rotation experience encouraged to apply
• Excellent clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in dysphagia assessment and management
• Experience with standardized and functional speech-language assessments
• Proficient documentation skills and comfort using common EMR systems
• Ability to triage and prioritize a varied caseload
• Knowledge of best practices in evidence-based SLP interventions
• Comfortable collaborating with PT, OT, nursing, and medical teams
