Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Homewood area
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the patient record
- Assess patient condition and communicate changes promptly to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and providers to develop and follow care plans
- Support patient and family education, promoting safety and independence
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
- Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to a positive team environment
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maryland required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum practical nursing experience preferred; confident clinical skills in med administration and patient assessment
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
- Reliable transportation and ability to work in the Homewood, Baltimore area
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and timely documentation
- Good communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and staff
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during a busy night shift
- Basic wound care, vitals monitoring, and infection control knowledge
