Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients
- Perform timely and accurate assessments, document changes, and escalate concerns
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute patient care plans
- Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Maintain clear, concise charting in the facility EHR to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Previous acute care or facility nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work night shifts
- Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, specialty certifications) are a plus
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
- Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong documentation and time management skills
- Teamwork, patient advocacy, and effective communication
