Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, and swallowing needs
- Deliver evidence-based therapy that helps patients communicate and participate more fully in daily life
- Document progress clearly and timely in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate guidance and home programs
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Maryland license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (required)
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders (required)
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred but new graduates with state licensure are welcome to apply
- Comfortable with clinical documentation and basic EHR use
- Clear background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
- Great communication skills and a collaborative, patient-centered attitude
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and treatment planning for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Skilled in individualized therapy techniques and progress measurement
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records
- Excellent interpersonal and family education skills
- Time management and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
