Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient observations accurately
- Assist nursing staff with daily living activities to promote dignity and independence
- Communicate changes in patient condition clearly and promptly to the care team
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
- Support residents emotionally and socially, offering friendly interaction and encouragement
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Comfort with night shift responsibilities and working independently when needed
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player who cares about resident well-being
- Previous long-term care or clinical experience preferred but new graduates are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed CNA training program and active certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and ADL support
- Vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection control and safe patient handling
- Clear communication and teamwork
- Time management and ability to prioritize tasks
- Comfortable using electronic charting or paper documentation systems
