Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer and accurately document prescribed medications to keep patients safe
• Monitor patient vitals and interpret measurements to detect changes early
• Perform and document medical procedures like dressing changes, catheter care, and IV starts
• Adjust and operate specialized medical equipment as needed for optimal patient care
• Report adverse reactions and collaborate with the care team to escalate concerns
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear education to patients and families

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Oklahoma or compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous MedSurg nursing experience preferred (1+ year is a strong fit)
• Comfortable with IV starts, catheter insertion, wound care and medication administration
• Ability to work a 1:5 patient ratio and manage priorities on a busy 14-bed unit
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work scheduled weekends

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient monitoring and assessment skills
• Medication administration and accurate charting
• Experience with starting IVs and basic procedures
• Ability to interpret monitors and other clinical equipment
• Clear communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
• Good clinical judgment and time management under pressure
