Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care that improves outcomes and makes patients feel heard
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor status changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with policy
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth transitions and excellent continuity
• Document care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Support patients and families with education, discharge planning, and emotional reassurance
• Participate in quality improvement efforts to help the unit perform at its best

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications a plus
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred (new grads with strong clinical rotations considered)
• Comfortable with varied shift start times and participating in on-call rotation
• Strong communication skills, teamwork mindset, and the ability to prioritize in a busy setting

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation practices
• Ability to triage, escalate, and collaborate effectively with providers
• Comfort working in a dynamic environment with changing patient needs
