Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, patient and family centered perioperative nursing care
• Scrub, circulate and assist in the recovery room as needed to support seamless patient flow
• Communicate clearly and professionally with surgeons, anesthesia and the perioperative team
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies
• Support the mission, vision and values of the organization through compassionate care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine or ability to obtain one
• Experience in perioperative or operating room nursing preferred
• Ability to scrub, circulate and work in the recovery room
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• CNOR certification preferred
• Covid-19 vaccination required

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current RN licensure in Maine required

• Perioperative care and patient safety practices
• Aseptic technique, instrument handling and OR protocols
• Patient assessment and post anesthesia recovery care
• Professional communication and confidentiality
• Teamwork and adaptability in a fast paced surgical environment
