Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support safe transfers, mobility and positioning to keep residents comfortable and mobile
• Monitor residents' condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility charting system
• Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver individualized care plans
• Engage residents with dignity and respect, promoting independence and quality of life

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification or state-approved nursing assistant certification (required)
• Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM night shift
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus but new grads welcome

Education

• High School Diploma or GED; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and comfort assisting with ADLs
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic charting and documentation ability
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safety practices
• Time management in a fast-paced care setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and resident-focused approach
