Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct resident care consistent with GNA scope and facility policies
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
- Support safe and comfortable meals and feeding assistance when needed
- Document care activities clearly and accurately to maintain continuity of care
- Collaborate respectfully with interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification or state nursing assistant credential required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or obtainable prior to start
- Minimum experience working in long term care or similar setting preferred
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Reliable transportation to Franklin Woods Ctr in Baltimore
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an approved GNA/nursing assistant training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and team members
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Ability to follow care plans and work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude toward elder care
