Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an Interventional Radiology procedural setting
• Prepare patients for neuro and body interventional procedures and monitor moderate sedation safely
• Collaborate closely with radiology techs, charge nurses and physicians to run up to three procedure rooms when needed
• Perform pre-procedure assessments, intra-procedure monitoring and post-procedure recovery care
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR (Meditech/MacLab) and communicate changes in patient status promptly
• Participate in on-call rotation to support urgent and emergent interventional cases

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Texas (compact license holders acceptable if applicable)
• BLS and ACLS required with competence in moderate sedation
• Proven experience in procedural areas with Stroke and Body Interventional Radiology
• Familiarity with Meditech or MacLab EMR preferred
• Comfort managing multiple procedure rooms and working in a fast-paced team environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of neuro interventional procedures such as brain coiling and cerebral angiography
• Knowledge of body interventional procedures such as pulmonary embolism interventions, peripheral angiography, thoracentesis and paracentesis
• Ability to monitor and manage patients under moderate sedation
• Competence with Meditech/MacLab documentation workflows
• Excellent situational awareness and ability to prioritize in a multi-room procedural setting
• Professional, team-focused bedside manner
