Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in accordance with facility policies
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per state and facility standards
• Perform and record assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in condition
• Collaborate with nurses, nursing assistants, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic record to support continuity of care
• Support residents' dignity and independence while ensuring a safe environment
• Participate in shift handoffs and communicate critical information to oncoming staff

Qualifications

• Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in good standing; Maine license preferred or compact where applicable
• BLS/CPR certification required; other certifications (e.g., IV, medication aides) a plus
• Clinical experience as an LPN in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
• Ability to work night shifts (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) and manage time effectively
• Successful background check, drug screen, and required immunizations per facility policy
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset

Education

• Completed accredited LPN / Practical Nursing program and current LPN license

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Familiarity with resident care in long-term care or skilled nursing settings
• Comfortable using electronic health records and basic computer skills
• Excellent observational skills for monitoring changes in resident condition
• Good communication and teamwork to work effectively with interdisciplinary staff
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
