Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support feeding, positioning, and toileting needs safely and professionally
• Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
• Create meaningful, positive interactions to support resident wellbeing

Qualifications

• Active GNA/CNA certification or state-equivalent required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
• Proof of vaccinations and ability to pass background checks
• Friendly, patient, and team-oriented with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; GNA/CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic resident care and infection control practices
• Safe patient handling and mobility assistance techniques
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nurses
• Strong observation skills and the ability to escalate concerns
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective interpersonal skills
