Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor resident conditions, report changes to the care team, and follow care plans
- Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, therapists, and family members to coordinate excellent care
- Perform wound care, IV monitoring, and routine assessments as required
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain accurate clinical documentation
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license in Maryland (active and in good standing)
- Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Comfortable with medication administration, charting in electronic health records, and patient-focused care
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program (Diploma or Certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care and ostomy knowledge
- Vital signs monitoring and clinical assessment
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and charting
- Infection control procedures and resident safety practices
- Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
