Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient health status, observing changes and communicating clearly with the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Coordinate patient care activities with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth transitions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record promptly and accurately
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care to empower recovery
• Support quality improvement initiatives and follow established policies to keep patients safe

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Comfortable with inpatient clinical practice and day-shift workflows
• Positive communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Previous clinical nursing experience preferred (at least 1 year recommended)

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Teamwork and clear communication with patients, families, and colleagues
