Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in line with facility protocols
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately
- Administer medications and treatments safely and on schedule
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Monitor patient progress and escalate changes in condition promptly
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
- Recent clinical experience as an RN; 1+ years preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills considered
- Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and monitoring
- Medication administration and safe dosing practices
- Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Basic IV therapy and wound care knowledge
- Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
- Clear communication with patients, families, and care teams
