Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the unit
- Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team
- Document patient status and interventions clearly and promptly in the chart
- Monitor patient progress, escalate concerns, and support positive outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS encouraged or as required by unit
- Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
- Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills welcome
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and safe medication administration skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
- Intravenous therapy and medication administration
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation
- Infection control practices and safety protocols
- Time management, prioritization, and teamwork
