Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate GE MRI equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Provide patient-centered care by preparing and positioning patients safely and compassionately
- Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols and physician orders
- Verify patient identity, review medical history, and screen for MRI safety risks
- Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to ensure timely imaging and clear communication of findings
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, imaging parameters, and patient information
- Follow infection control, safety, and dress code policies while contributing to a positive unit culture
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience as stated in the posting
- Current ARRT (R) or ARRT(MR) certification or equivalent state credential
- Active state radiology technologist licensure as required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or able to obtain
- Comfortable using GE MRI systems and familiar with common MRI protocols
- Strong patient communication skills and attention to detail
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, MRI program completion, or related field
- Completion of ARRT-eligible MRI training program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with MRI physics and imaging sequences
- Experience with GE MRI equipment and workflow
- Knowledge of patient positioning, safety screening, and MR safety
- Ability to troubleshoot common scanner or image quality issues
- Solid documentation skills and familiarity with imaging record systems
- Compassionate patient care and effective communication skills
