Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Perform routine assessments and monitor vital signs, reporting changes promptly
- Collaborate with RNs, CNAs and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record and care plans
- Support resident comfort, dignity and safety through thoughtful care and communication
- Assist with admissions, transfers and discharge processes as needed
Qualifications
- Current and active LPN license in Maryland (required)
- Minimum experience: prior LPN experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/vaccinations
- Strong communication, time management and teamwork skills
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or certificate; completion of an accredited LPN program
- Current LPN license in Maryland
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Resident assessment and basic clinical skills (vital signs, wound care basics)
- Familiarity with electronic health record/charting systems
- Infection control and safety procedures
- Customer-service mindset for working with residents and families
