Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on your unit
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions to promote patient recovery
• Monitor patient status, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring colleagues and supporting best practices

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred based on unit needs
• Prior experience in acute care or hospital nursing preferred
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a fast-paced workload
• Patient- and family-centered care approach
