Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
- Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Document patient status and interventions clearly in the EHR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless care
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland required
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or as required by unit
- Previous Med/Surg experience preferred (1+ years), new grads considered with strong clinical skills
- Ability to pass background and health screenings
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy competency
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Infection control and patient safety best practices
- Effective communication and teamwork
