Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care with dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
- Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control procedures
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through excellent communication
Qualifications
- GNA certification or state-equivalent nurse aide certification (required)
- Active CPR/BLS certification (required or obtain upon hire)
- Prior experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred but new grads welcome
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or GED; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and ADL assistance
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
- Charting/documentation and time management
- Infection control best practices and PPE use
- Team collaboration and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
