Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient conditions accurately
- Assist nursing team with safe transfers, mobility support, and toileting needs
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate changes to the care team
- Follow infection control procedures and facility policies to keep patients safe
- Support a positive patient experience by being attentive, respectful, and professional
Qualifications
- Current NJ CNA or T-CNA certification required
- Flu shot required by the state (must be up-to-date prior to start)
- Ability to work day shifts and every other weekend as scheduled
- Previous CNA experience preferred but new grads with strong skills are welcome
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
- Accurate vitals collection and basic assessment skills
- Strong communication and teamwork with nursing staff
- Understanding of infection prevention and HIPAA confidentiality
- Reliable time management and documentation skills
