Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, skilled bedside care to residents, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support safe patient transfers and positioning, using proper body mechanics
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols (flu shot required)
- Document care accurately and collaborate with the care team to deliver excellent outcomes
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (CNA) and T-CNA credential as required by the facility
- Flu shot required by the state — must be up to date
- Comfortable working day shifts and every other weekend
- Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; active CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic nursing care procedures and resident safety
- Competence with vital signs and basic charting/documentation
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes clearly
- Good mobility assistance and safe transfer skills
- Teamwork mindset and the ability to prioritize resident needs
