Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift) — 5x8 schedule, no weekends, no on-call
Hours per Week: 43
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Obtain and record vital signs accurately and document in EPIC to support excellent patient care
- Room patients, record history/medications/allergies, and prepare exam rooms for efficient visits
- Collect and label specimens (throat swabs, urine clean-catch, blood draws) and handle basic lab testing
- Administer injections and immunizations within scope and assist with nebulizer treatments
- Perform hearing and vision screenings and assist clinicians with procedures when needed
- Manage telephone triage, process pharmacy refill requests, and handle prior authorizations and in-basket referrals
- Provide compassionate, welcoming support to behavioral health patients and help maintain a calm clinic environment
- Float within your skillset to meet facility needs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
Qualifications
- MA-C required (MA-R not accepted)
- MA-CS required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience (experience with outpatient clinics preferred)
- Proven experience with EPIC and healthcare terminology
- Reliable personal transportation to meet site expectations
- Comfort working with behavioral health patients and strong communication skills
- First-time travel clinicians welcome — orientation and support available
Education
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) — required
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Additional clinical training or coursework in medical assisting helpful
Knowledge & Skills
- EPIC charting and documentation
- Obtaining and recording vital signs
- Specimen collection and labeling (throat, urine, venipuncture)
- Injections and immunizations, including safe administration practices
- Nebulizer treatments and basic respiratory support
- Hearing and vision screening techniques
- Telephone triage, pharmacy refill processing, and prior authorization workflow
- Blood glucose testing via glucometer and basic point-of-care laboratory tasks
- Rooming patients, recording histories, and assisting with procedures
