Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility needs with dignity and respect
- Monitor residents and report changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Contribute to a warm, comforting environment that promotes resident well-being
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to support personalized care plans
Qualifications
- Valid GNA/GNA-L or state-approved Nursing Assistant certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain it promptly
- Successful background check and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but new grads welcome
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to resident-centered care
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
- Comfortable with basic vital sign checks and reporting changes
- Good communication and teamwork skills — we work closely as a care family
- Knowledge of infection control, resident safety, and dignity-preserving techniques
- Ability to follow care plans and facility documentation procedures
