Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on nursing care to residents at Alice Manor
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Monitor vital signs, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity
- Document care and observations clearly in the medical record
- Collaborate with nurses, aides, and interdisciplinary team members to plan and deliver care
- Support infection control practices and maintain a safe environment
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in Maryland (required)
- Recent experience as an LPN in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or must obtain promptly
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
- Reliable, professional, and able to communicate clearly with residents and team members
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program; LPN license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and wound care skills
- Knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
- Comfortable with charting and basic electronic health record use
- Excellent observation, assessment, and communication skills
- Time management and the ability to prioritize in a busy care setting
