Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and support daily living activities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility safely and respectfully
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident observations
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to keep residents and staff safe
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (required) and enrollment on the appropriate state registry
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable working the evening/night shift and able to stand and move for your shift
- Successful background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but new grads welcome
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong resident-centered care skills and a respectful bedside manner
- Ability to perform ADLs and basic clinical tasks safely and efficiently
- Basic knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Comfort using electronic documentation systems, or willingness to learn
- Team-oriented attitude and reliability for scheduled shifts
