Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care to assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to RN or provider
- Maintain accurate documentation of care, vitals, and observations
- Assist with personal care and mobility while promoting resident independence
- Collaborate with the care team to follow care plans and improve outcomes
- Support a positive, respectful environment for residents and families
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Maryland (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or obtained upon hire)
- Prior experience in long term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Current immunizations and TB screening per facility requirements
- Reliable, professional demeanor and strong communication skills
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation
- Basic wound care and monitoring of clinical signs
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with care plans and nursing documentation practices
- Teamwork, time management, and patient-focused bedside manner
