Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care to residents at Alice Manor — help people feel safe, comfortable, and respected
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor and record vital signs, report changes to clinical team promptly
- Support activities of daily living and encourage resident independence
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a healthy environment
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maryland (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience preferred — long-term care experience a plus
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and TB screening
- Comfortable with electronic charting and basic clinical documentation
Education
- LPN diploma or vocational nursing certificate (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation
- Basic wound care and comfort measures
- Strong vital sign assessment and clinical observation skills
- Effective communication and teamwork in a long-term care setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
