Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to nursing staff
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility support, keeping safety top of mind
- Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and follow infection prevention practices
- Document care delivered in a timely and professional manner
- Communicate with the care team and families to support resident well-being
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification in Maryland required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Prior experience in long term care or skilled nursing is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable with basic nursing assistant duties and resident care
- Able to take and document vital signs and recognize changes in condition
- Knowledge of infection control and safe lifting/transfer techniques
- Good time management and documentation skills
- Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident dignity
