Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, helping with daily living activities
- Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility support and fall prevention
- Document care and observations accurately and timely
- Support mealtime assistance and supervise safe feeding when needed
- Contribute to a positive, respectful environment for residents and families
Qualifications
- Current GNA/CNA certification or equivalent (required)
- Active status on Maryland nurse aide registry or eligible to enroll
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Up-to-date TB test and immunizations per facility policy
- Clean background check and ability to pass facility credentialing
- Dependable, caring attitude with strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; GNA/CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic resident care skills and comfortable assisting with ADLs
- Understanding of infection control and safety practices
- Good documentation habits and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a care team
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
