Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor and document vital signs and resident status with attention to detail
- Provide direct resident care and assist with activities of daily living
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to support care plans
- Maintain accurate charting and timely documentation in resident records
- Observe, report, and escalate clinical changes to RNs and leadership
- Support a positive, compassionate environment for residents and families
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Maryland (required)
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
- Reliable transportation and ability to work the scheduled shifts
Education
- LPN certificate or diploma from an accredited practical nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic wound care skills
- Familiarity with long-term care regulations and resident rights
- Proficient charting and documentation practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care setting
- Teamwork mindset and a patient-centered approach to care
