Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents in a long term care setting
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor resident condition and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support safe transfers and fall prevention practices
- Document care accurately and maintain resident dignity and privacy
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered service
Qualifications
- Maryland GNA certification or equivalent required
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Experience in long term care or facility-based resident care preferred
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required
- Reliable, caring attitude and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic resident care and ADL assistance
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Familiarity with documentation practices in a care facility
- Teamwork, empathy, and good communication with residents and staff
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions from nursing staff
