Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care with respect and dignity
- Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to nursing staff
- Follow care plans and document care accurately and timely
- Support a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for residents
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families through consistent, friendly care
Qualifications
- GNA certification required (state-specific credential)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long term care or skilled nursing helpful but new grads welcome
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic nursing assistant skills: bathing, feeding, transfers, and ambulation
- Vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection control and proper PPE use
- Comfortable with electronic or paper charting systems
- Good observational skills and ability to report changes in condition
- Team collaboration and effective communication with nursing staff
