Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients — assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor patients' condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support
- Take and record vital signs accurately and consistently
- Document care and observations clearly in the electronic medical record
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (or equivalent state nursing assistant certification); CNA credential welcomed
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or clinical settings preferred but new grads welcome
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA/CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
- Ability to follow care plans and report changes clearly
- Teamwork mindset and reliable time management
