Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition, including vital signs and behavior
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and repositioning to prevent falls and pressure injuries
- Document care accurately and timely to support excellent clinical communication
- Work collaboratively with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality resident outcomes
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification in Maryland (or equivalent state certification)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work night shifts and a 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM schedule as posted
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Current TB test and up-to-date immunizations as required
- Background check and drug screen clearance
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong resident-focused care and dignity preservation
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
- Familiarity with charting and documentation best practices
- Good communication skills with residents, families, and care teams
- Understanding of infection prevention and safety policies
