Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
- Observe, record, and report changes in residents physical or mental condition
- Follow individualized care plans and communicate updates to nursing staff
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection-control practices
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility support, and basic comfort measures
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive hydration and nutrition
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification or equivalent required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations (TB, flu as required)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work the scheduled 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift
- Previous long-term care or assisted living experience is a plus but new grads welcome
Education
- High School Diploma or GED; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Person-centered care and basic patient handling
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic charting and documentation
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols
- Ability to follow care plans and directions from nursing staff
