Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe transfer, mobility and fall-prevention practices
- Document care and resident interactions accurately and timely
- Work collaboratively with nurses and other staff to deliver person-centered care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Qualifications
- State GNA certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred but new grads welcome
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- State-approved GNA certification or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of ADLs and basic resident care
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Compassionate bedside manner and resident advocacy
- Time management to support shift workflows
