Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents/patients with dignity and respect
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Support a positive, team-oriented environment by communicating clearly with colleagues
- Follow care plans and safety protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (or equivalent nursing assistant certification) — Maryland preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working the posted 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Compassion, reliability, and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of a GNA program or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills for assisting with ADLs and patient mobility
- Observation and documentation of patient changes and incidents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently during shift and collaboratively with nursing staff
- Awareness of infection control and patient safety practices
