Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Help with meal setup and feeding assistance while monitoring intake and resident comfort
• Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection control procedures
• Document care given and timely communicate observations or concerns to nurses and supervisors
• Engage residents with compassion, providing emotional support and promoting independence
• Participate in care team collaboration to contribute to excellent resident outcomes

Qualifications

• GNA certification (or equivalent CNA certification) active in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with all activities of daily living and basic patient care
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Availability to work the scheduled day shift on 11-23-2025

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA or CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
• Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
• Basic charting and documentation practices
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Compassionate interpersonal skills and resident-centered care
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
