Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
- Measure and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Help with meal setup and feeding assistance while monitoring intake and resident comfort
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection control procedures
- Document care given and timely communicate observations or concerns to nurses and supervisors
- Engage residents with compassion, providing emotional support and promoting independence
- Participate in care team collaboration to contribute to excellent resident outcomes
Qualifications
- GNA certification (or equivalent CNA certification) active in Maryland
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with all activities of daily living and basic patient care
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Availability to work the scheduled day shift on 11-23-2025
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- GNA or CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
- Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
- Basic charting and documentation practices
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Safe transfer and mobility techniques
- Compassionate interpersonal skills and resident-centered care
- Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
