Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
• Monitor residents' condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Assist with safe mobility and transfers to promote independence
• Take and document vital signs and observations accurately
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and follow infection control practices
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful communication
• Contribute to care plans by documenting resident needs and progress

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (or state-equivalent) required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Reliable, empathetic, and able to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift

Education

• High school diploma or GED; GNA certification or state-approved nursing assistant training required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in providing personal care, transfers, and mobility assistance
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and basic observations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of infection prevention, resident safety, and dignity practices
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
• Compassionate approach to resident-centered care
