Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Follow care plans and document care accurately and timely
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate kindly and effectively with residents, families, and team members
Qualifications
- Current Maryland GNA certification or equivalent (CNA experience accepted)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living helpful but not always required
- Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required facility health checks
Education
- GNA certification (or CNA equivalent)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Resident-centered care and dignity-focused approach
- Assistance with ADLs and mobility support
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Infection control and safe patient handling basics
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Time management and reliability
