Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and document vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Support safe mobility and transfer techniques to keep patients comfortable
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and interventions
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver consistent, high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (or equivalent) valid in Maryland
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
- Reliable transportation to the Towson/Ruxton area
- Compassionate attitude, good communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Assistance with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
- Measuring and recording vital signs accurately
- Basic patient mobility and safe transfer techniques
- Attention to detail for documentation and charting
- Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork
