Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care with dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Document care accurately and communicate changes in condition to the nursing team
- Follow care plans and safety protocols to ensure high-quality outcomes
- Support a positive, collaborative environment for residents, families, and staff
- Participate in shift handoffs to maintain continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification or equivalent in Maryland
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Minimum experience: comfortable working in long term care or skilled nursing settings
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of resident-centered care and long term care best practices
- Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Good time management and teamwork skills
- Comfortable following care plans and safety procedures
