Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and dignified living environment
- Document care and observations accurately and timely
- Work as a collaborative member of the care team to support resident goals
Qualifications
- Current GNA/CNA certification or equivalent in Maryland
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Minimum experience: comfortable with resident care in long-term or skilled nursing settings
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a caring attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA/CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
- Basic infection control and safe hygiene practices
- Familiarity with documentation and charting best practices
- Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Team-oriented mindset and respectful communication with residents and staff
