Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents following care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Document care activities accurately and timely
- Support a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to enhance resident well being
Qualifications
- Valid GNA/GNA-L certification required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- State-required clear background check and TB screening
- Prior experience in long term care or assisted living is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
- Ability to work evenings and flexible shifts including 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant practices and infection control
- Good documentation skills and comfort with electronic or paper charting
- Ability to assist with transfers and use basic patient handling equipment
- Strong communication skills with residents, families, and staff
- Attention to detail and ability to follow established care plans
