Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents with dignity and respect
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Assess resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to the care team
- Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate clinical records
- Support mobility, hygiene, and daily living activities to promote independence
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and care staff to create person-centered plans
- Participate in shift handovers and contribute to a positive team culture
Qualifications
- Current LPN license (Maryland) required; out-of-state licenses considered if eligible for MD licensure
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience preferred, long term care experience a plus
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Ability to pass background checks and required pre-employment screenings
- Comfort with 12-hour day shifts and flexible scheduling
Education
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program and current LPN licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care and ADL support
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work well in a fast-paced care setting
- Teamwork mindset and commitment to resident-centered care
